Research Center of Environmental Chemistry

Research Center of Environmental Chemistry (RCEC), was established in 2014 with long-term research goals in the following 2 groups and with a license from the Higher Education Development Council.

Scientific staff of the institute includes about 10 researchers with PhD degrees. In addition, there are also some researchers of other universities and industrials who are cooperating through shared research projects.

Research groups in RCEC:

1. Green Chemistry
Applying new methods in solving the problems of industries and health of the region by using the properties of nanomaterials and chemistry.
  • Production of nanomaterials for use in oil, petrochemical, steel, tile, ceramic and glass industries
  • Applied research to address environmental bottlenecks
  • Research on the use of nanomaterials produced in new energies
2. Environmental Chemistry
Implementation of projects related to qualitative identification and quantitative measurement of industrial, household and agricultural chemical pollutants by advanced methods and removal of pollutants from water, soil and air by adsorbents, catalysts and photocatalysts is the main mission of this group.

Equipment of ECRC

In this center, advanced and super-advanced equipment such as BET, AFM, FT-IR, DLS, UV-Vis, SECM, IMS, HPLC, DSC, … are located. This center is ready to serve researchers, industry owners and graduate students.
